What does private label sportswear mean?
Private label means we manufacture the garments and you sell them under your own brand name. You control the design, label, packaging, and pricing. We produce to your specifications and ship unbranded or with your labels sewn in. You are not reselling our brand — you are building yours.
What is the difference between private label and OEM?
OEM means producing to a buyer's exact technical specifications, typically for an established brand. Private label is broader — we can contribute to the design, material selection, and tech pack if you do not have them. OEM assumes you supply everything; private label can start from a concept.
What do I need to start a private label sportswear line?
At minimum: a product concept or reference garment, a logo or brand identity, and a target price range. We handle fabric sourcing, pattern making, sample development, and label production. A tech pack is not required to start but speeds up sample accuracy. Budget 60-90 days for first production run.
What branding and label options are available?
Options include woven neck labels, heat-transfer labels, printed care labels, rubber patch labels, and embossed silicone tags. Hangtags and polybag printing with your branding are also available. Label minimums are typically 500 pieces. All options are built into the unit cost at agreed volumes.
Who owns the designs and patterns?
Designs, patterns, and tech packs created from your brief belong to your brand. We do not resell or replicate your designs for other clients. If you use our base patterns with minor modifications, ownership is negotiated per contract. Original designs you supply remain your IP from the first sample.
What is the MOQ for private label sportswear?
MOQ starts at 300 pieces per style per color for standard private label production. For full custom cut-and-sew with original patterns, MOQ is 300 pieces per style. Mixed colorways within the same style count separately toward MOQ.
