MOQ 300 pcs per style, samples in 7–14 days, and you can walk the sewing floor yourself.

## Why source sportswear from Guangzhou

Guangzhou is the centre of China's apparel trade. Guangdong province ships roughly a third of the country's garment exports, and almost everything a sportswear order needs — knit fabric, spandex, zippers, drawcords, heat-transfer film, printing, embroidery, packaging — is available inside the city or within a two-hour drive of it.

- **Zhongda Fabric Market next door** — The Zhongda textile market in Haizhu District is the largest fabric wholesale cluster in China — over 10,000 vendors across dozens of buildings. It is a 20-minute drive from our office. When you ask for a 240 GSM nylon-spandex in a specific handfeel, we can put swatches in front of you the same week instead of waiting on a mill quote.
- **Complete trim and decoration cluster** — Zippers, elastics, cords, labels, hangtags, silicone and puff print, sublimation, embroidery, laser cutting and bonding — all of it exists as specialist workshops in Guangzhou and Dongguan. We do not have to ship half-finished garments across provinces, which is what keeps bulk lead times at 25–35 days.
- **Nansha port and Baiyun airport** — Guangzhou Nansha is one of the world's busiest container ports, and Shenzhen Yantian is two hours away by truck. Baiyun International Airport handles direct freight to Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Australia. FOB Guangzhou, CIF, and DDP are all routine, and air express for urgent top-ups leaves the same week.
- **Canton Fair on your doorstep** — The Canton Fair runs every April and October at the complex in Pazhou, about 30 minutes from us. Most of our overseas customers first meet us by pairing a fair visit with a half-day at our showroom and factory — one trip, two jobs done.
- **Skilled sportswear operators** — Stretch knits are harder to sew than woven shirts. Flatlock seams, elastic tape binding, gusseted crotches, bonded hems and reflective taping all need operators who have done it for years. Guangzhou's labour pool has grown up around performance apparel, which is why technical construction rarely needs a second sample here.
- **Showroom you can actually walk into** — Our showroom in Yuexiu District holds hundreds of physical samples, a fabric swatchbook, and finished packaging references. You can feel the fabric, check the stitching, and try on fit samples in one afternoon — something no photo or video call replaces.

There is a practical reason so many activewear brands end up in Guangzhou rather than a cheaper province: sportswear is a materials business first. A pair of leggings is decided by the fabric — its weight, recovery, opacity, and handfeel — long before anyone touches a sewing machine. Guangzhou is where the fabric is, so it is where the sampling loop is shortest.

The second reason is that Guangzhou is a trading city as much as a manufacturing one. Export documentation, third-party inspection agencies, freight forwarders, and English-speaking sourcing staff are all abundant. When your QC firm wants to book an inspection on three days' notice, or your forwarder needs the packing list re-issued, that happens without drama here.

## Our Guangzhou factory and showroom

We have manufactured activewear and sportswear in Guangzhou since 1997. We are a direct factory, not a trading company — the name on our business license is the same name on our SMETA audit certificate, and you are welcome to come and verify it in person.

The production facility covers 8,000 square meters across 24 sewing lines, with a dedicated cutting room, an air-conditioned fabric warehouse, screen-printing and heat-transfer stations, an embroidery department, and an in-house QC room. Two shifts run during peak season. Our showroom in Yuexiu District is where samples, fabric swatchbooks and packaging references live, and it is where most customer meetings start.

Every account gets one English-speaking project manager who stays with the order from the first email through sampling, bulk, inspection and packing. You are not passed between departments, and you are not talking to a sourcing agent who then talks to a factory. If you want a photo of your goods on the line on a Tuesday afternoon, ask and you get it.

## Visiting our Guangzhou factory

Factory visits are welcome and free. Most customers spend a morning in the showroom picking fabrics and reviewing samples, then drive out to the production floor in the afternoon. Tell us your dates and we handle the rest — including airport pickup.
- **Tell us your dates** — Send us your arrival date and what you want to see. We confirm the schedule within a day and, if you need it, issue a visa invitation letter on company letterhead.
- **Airport or hotel pickup** — We collect you from Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou South Railway Station, or your hotel at no charge. Your project manager travels with you, so translation is covered from the moment you get in the car.
- **Showroom session** — Hundreds of physical samples, fabric swatchbooks by weight and composition, print and embroidery references, and packaging examples. This is where specs get decided — usually two to three hours.
- **Production floor tour** — Cutting room, fabric warehouse, all 24 sewing lines, printing and embroidery stations, and the QC room. Photos and video are allowed. If your order is running, you see it on the line.

### Getting to the showroom
- **From Baiyun Airport (CAN)** — About 40 minutes by car, roughly 35 km. Airport Express bus Line 1 also stops at the railway station area next to us.
- **From Guangzhou Railway Station** — A 5-minute walk. The Liuhua Apparel Digital Trade Center sits directly across from the station on Zhanqian Road.
- **By metro** — Metro Line 2 or Line 5 to Guangzhou Railway Station, Exit F, then walk west along Zhanqian Road.
- **Hotels nearby** — Several international-brand hotels sit within 1–2 km of the showroom in the Liuhua and Yuexiu area. Tell us your budget and we will send options.

## How an order runs
1. **Inquiry & Quote** — Send a tech pack, reference photos, or just a description. We reply within 24 hours with a quote covering fabric, construction, decoration, and packaging. Quoting is free.
2. **Sampling** — 1–3 samples in 7–14 days, made in the same Guangzhou factory that will run your bulk. One revision round included. Sample fees are credited against your first bulk order.
3. **Bulk Production** — 25–35 days depending on complexity and quantity. In-line QC at cutting, sewing, printing, and finishing. Progress photos at each milestone.
4. **Final QC & Packing** — Pre-shipment inspection with random sampling by order size. Measurements, stitching, colour, labelling, and packaging checked against your approved sample. Report shared before dispatch.
5. **Shipping** — FOB Guangzhou, CIF to your port, or DDP to your door. Sea freight 15–35 days by destination; air express available. Tracking provided on dispatch.

## Guangzhou compared to other Chinese apparel hubs

China has several apparel clusters and they are not interchangeable. Yiwu is a small-goods trading city, Quanzhou is footwear and mass-market sportswear, Shaoxing is fabric and dyeing. Here is how they differ for a brand sourcing custom sportswear.

| Factor | Guangzhou | Yiwu | Quanzhou | Shaoxing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core strength | Custom knit sportswear, full package | Small goods, low-cost basics | Footwear, mass-market sportswear | Fabric weaving and dyeing |
| Fabric access | Zhongda market, 10,000+ vendors | Limited, mostly brought in | Good for polyester knits | Excellent at mill scale |
| Typical MOQ per style | 300 pcs | 500–1,000 pcs | 1,000–3,000 pcs | 1,000 m fabric minimums |
| Decoration options | Widest — print, embroidery, bonding, sublimation | Basic print and embroidery | Strong sublimation and heat transfer | Fabric-level printing only |
| Ease of visiting | International airport, Canton Fair, showroom district | Requires connecting travel | Regional airport, fewer direct flights | Via Hangzhou or Shanghai |

## How to check a Guangzhou factory is real

Guangzhou has thousands of apparel suppliers and many of them are trading offices, not factories. There is nothing wrong with an agent, but you should know which one you are talking to. These four checks take under a week and settle it.
- **Ask for the business license** — A Chinese manufacturing license lists the registered scope of business and the unified social credit code. A garment factory's scope says production; a trading company's says wholesale and import-export. We send ours on request.
- **Ask for a third-party audit** — We hold a current SMETA (Sedex) social-compliance audit run by Bureau Veritas, tied to our factory address. An agent cannot produce one in its own name — that is the fastest way to tell the difference.
- **Compare the addresses** — Ask for both the office address and the production address, and check them on a map. Our showroom is in Yuexiu District and our production floor is a separate facility — we will name both and take you to either.
- **Order samples, then a trial run** — Two or three samples test quality and communication for a small outlay. A 300–500 pc trial order then tests whether bulk matches the sample, which is the failure mode that actually costs brands money.

## Shipping out of Guangzhou

Goods leave through Nansha or Shenzhen by sea, or through Baiyun International Airport by air. We quote on whichever Incoterm suits how much of the freight you want to handle yourself.
- **FOB** — We deliver to Guangzhou or Shenzhen port and clear export. You arrange the freight. Most common for experienced importers with their own forwarder.
- **CIF** — We arrange sea freight to your port and cover insurance. You handle customs clearance and delivery at your end.
- **DDP** — Door to door. We handle export, freight, import customs, and duty. Simplest option for a first order.

Communication: English-speaking project managers, WeChat / WhatsApp / email, Guangzhou time (UTC+8), replies within 24 hours on business days.

## Lead Times

| Stage | Timeline |
|-------|----------|
| Sample | 7–14 days |

| Reorder | 15–25 days |

## FAQ

### Where exactly is your Guangzhou factory?

Our showroom and offices are at Room DTC 310, Liuhua Apparel Digital Trade Center, 166 Zhanqian Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou 510010 — directly across from Guangzhou Railway Station. The production facility is a separate 8,000 m² site with 24 sewing lines; your project manager will take you there on the same visit.

### How do I contact the factory directly?

Message us on WeChat or WhatsApp, or email sunny@yxsportswear.com — the contact details are in the site header and at the foot of this page. Sunny, our export sales manager, answers in English. Office hours are 9:00–18:00 Guangzhou time (UTC+8), Monday to Sunday, and we reply to everything within 24 hours.

### Can I visit the factory, and do you arrange pickup?

Yes to both, at no charge. Send us your arrival date and we will collect you from Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou South Railway Station, or your hotel. A typical visit is a showroom session in the morning and the production floor in the afternoon. We can also issue a visa invitation letter on company letterhead.

### Why manufacture sportswear in Guangzhou rather than elsewhere in China?

Because sportswear is decided by fabric, and Guangzhou is where the fabric is. The Zhongda textile market in Haizhu District has over 10,000 vendors and is a 20-minute drive from us, so swatches for a new fabric can be in front of you within days. Trims, printing, embroidery, and bonding workshops are all in the same city or in nearby Dongguan, which is what keeps bulk lead times at 25–35 days.

### What is your MOQ and how fast are samples?

300 pieces per style per colour for custom manufacturing. If you only want your logo on an existing blank, we can start at 100 pieces per style per colour so you can validate quality first. Samples take 7–14 days including one revision round, and they are made in the same factory that will run your bulk.

### Are you a factory or a trading company?

A factory. We have manufactured in Guangzhou since 1997 and hold a current SMETA (Sedex) social-compliance audit run by Bureau Veritas in our own company name — Guangzhou Yueyi Sportswear Co., Ltd. We share the audit report and business license on request, and you are welcome to walk the sewing floor and confirm it yourself.

### Can I combine a visit with the Canton Fair?

Most of our overseas customers do. The Canton Fair runs every April and October at the complex in Pazhou, about 30 minutes from our showroom. Tell us your fair dates and we will slot the showroom session and factory tour around them, and pick you up from the fair complex if that is easier.

### What sportswear categories do you produce?

Activewear and gym wear, yoga and pilates wear, hoodies and sweatshirts, joggers and sweatpants, t-shirts and tops, polo shirts, shorts, tracksuits, and compression and base layers. All available for OEM, ODM, and private label with custom fabric, logos, labelling, and packaging.

### How do you ship from Guangzhou to my country?

Sea freight leaves through Nansha in Guangzhou or Yantian in Shenzhen, taking 15–35 days depending on destination. Air freight goes through Baiyun International Airport for urgent orders. We quote FOB Guangzhou, CIF to your port, or DDP to your door — first-time customers usually pick CIF or DDP so they do not have to deal with Chinese logistics directly.

### What are your payment terms?

Standard terms are a 30–50% deposit to start production with the balance before shipment, by bank transfer (T/T). Orders under 1,000 USD are paid in full up front. Sample fees are paid upfront and credited against your first bulk order when agreed in advance. We share QC photos and the inspection report before you pay the balance.
